Terms of Use

Backlog Viewer is in private beta. Use it kindly; we'll do the same.

The service

Backlog Viewer is a web app for reading and editing BACKLOG.md files in GitHub repositories you have access to. We may add, change, or remove features during beta without notice. The service is provided "as is" without warranties.

Your account

You sign in with GitHub. You're responsible for keeping your GitHub account secure. Don't use Backlog Viewer to access repositories you aren't authorized to use, and don't try to break or abuse the service.

Your content

You own your repositories and the files you edit through Backlog Viewer. We don't claim any rights over them. By using the service, you grant us permission to read and write the specific backlog files you connect, on your behalf, using your GitHub token.

Acceptable use

  • No spamming, scraping, or automated abuse.
  • No attempts to circumvent rate limits or authentication.
  • No content that violates the law or GitHub's terms.

Termination

You can remove your repos and revoke our GitHub access at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or place undue load on the service.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Backlog Viewer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid for the service in the past twelve months (which, during beta, is zero).
